WIMA (Wives of Incarcerated Men Advocacy)
Restoring Strength, Dignity, and Hope
When a man is incarcerated, the burden of survival often shifts suddenly and heavily onto the woman left behind. WIMA exists to ensure that these women are not forgotten.
Through WIMA, AFIFA provides a safe and supportive space where wives of incarcerated men can share experiences, access psychosocial support, and rebuild their confidence. The program combines emotional care with practical empowerment—offering skills training, small-scale income-generating opportunities, and financial literacy to help women sustain their households.
WIMA also amplifies the voices of these women through advocacy, challenging stigma and promoting their rights within the community.
